Leaving (for) Las Vegasentry,
My trip to Orlando was a lot of fun. The Novell business I did was great -- I take a lot of pleasure out of nailing presentations and leading group discussions (and nailing hecklers during group discussions and presentations, but that's another story) and this particular event was fun for me.
I also had fun at Sci-Fi City. There weren't a whole lot of people there, but Mark Mekkes (Zortic) and I had a great time chatting with folks, passing out free comics, and giving sketches to random strangers. I caricatured one of the Sci-Fi City employees while he wasn't looking, and gave him that as a "thank-you." He seemed to like it, even though he still had no idea who I was.
Hey, man. Just because YOU don't know who I am doesn't mean I'm not famous.
Anyway, I'm now headed down to Las Vegas for the Las Vegas Comic-Con. I don't know where the Keenspot booth will be, nor what times I'll be there, but if you catch up with me you WILL get a free sketch.
You will not, however, get any hints as to what's coming next in the Schlock Mercenary story. I mean, you can ask all you want, and try to read my supreme-o poker-face when I deadpan my "no comment" answer, but you won't get anything concrete out of me. Nope nope nope.
In related news, the fiber in my diet is really helping.
