Book 15: Delegates and Delegation — Part I: Confidence

Transcript

UNS handler: Lieutenant Sorlie, we are embedding a Q-crypt system in your eyes.

SORLIE: Mmm-hmm.  The stinging and the blindness gave that away.

UNS handler: Your new handbrain will display only innocuous information to observers, but you will see more, and will be able to communicate with us securely.

SORLIE: Are you telling me this out loud?  Because that's not very secure.

UNS handler: A bone-phone has been driven into your squamosal suture for secure audio.

SORLIE: Of course.  The stinging blindness distracted me from the pounding headache.
