Book 16: Big, Dumb Objects — Part IV

Transcript

CHINOOK: When did you become so complacent?

PETEY: This isn't complacence. It's acceptance. I chose to do something that drained me, and now I must live with the consequences.

CHINOOK: Is sorrow one of those consequences? Do you even feel it anymore?

PETEY: I still feel it. All of it.

PETEY: I've devoted entire processing facilities for examining my sorrow. I grieve harder than any of you are able to even think.

IAFA: Well, as long as you can bottle it up I'm sure that's perfectly healthy.
